11 Plus Bromley (Newstead Wood) Selective tests
11 Plus Bromley (Newstead Wood) Selective tests
There are two grammar schools in the London Borough of Bromley which are both selective schools. These are:
Newstead Wood School (for girls)
St Olaves Grammar School (for boys)
Children applying for either school need to take the 11 plus to be eligible for a place. The format and content of the 11 plus is unique to each school.
Boys applying to St Olave’s Grammar School have a two-stage process; The first stage consists of a Selective Eligibility Test (SET) for an hour and the top 450 boys (or just above) are then selected for a second stage exam.
For the St. Olave's 11+ Stage 1 exam, there is no set pass mark or required standard. The top 450 students based on their scores in Stage 1 (SET) are invited back for Stage 2. While there's no fixed score, consistently achieving 75% or higher in practice tests is generally a good indicator of being on track to pass Stage 1.

Girls applying to Newstead Wood School take an 11 plus exam referred to as the selection test with two Papers and test last for up to 2 hours.
