MEDWAY 11+ test INFORMATION

We use our own papers so it is never repeated but following the CEM assessment criteria for the Kent test to include similar questions.

To be given a grammar school assessment, each paper is marked to provide ‘raw’ scores. The raw scores for each paper are based on the number of correct answers.

The raw scores are then standardised to reflect the child’s age at the time they sit the test. This is to make sure no child is disadvantaged because they're born later in the school year.

Scores for the individual papers are weighted to create a total weighted score. 

The minimum score for the last few years based on Medway council data were:

2025 admissions: 482 (25% of the cohort assessed as grammar)

2024 admissions: 492 (23% of the cohort assessed as grammar)

2023 admissions: 488 (23% of the cohort assessed as grammar).

For 2025 admission, 100% of students who took our mocks papers past the Medway 11+ test.

We give detailed feedback on all mock test results so this helps the direction of the child to get them to improve on their score in the future.
