Schedule
Welcome & Trap Talk: 10:00–10:15am
We will introduce the day’s theme. Talk about traps in Minecraft: why players use them, safety, and how they work (redstone basics). We will do this using a live demo of simple traps (pitfall, arrow trap).
Build-a-Trap Tutorial: 10:15–10:45am
We will give you step-by-step instructions to build 2 basic traps: a Pitfall Trap (using pistons) and an Arrow Dispenser Trap (pressure plate or tripwire). We will assist the younger players where required.
Trap Lab: Design Your Own: 10:45–11:15am
Players will then design and build their own creative traps in Creative Mode. This will encourage imagination!
We will give you ideas such as: fake treasure rooms, lava floors, disappearing bridges.
Snack & Break Time: 11:15–11:30am
Relax with a fun "Trap or Not?" guessing game and more play in our games room!
Trap Maze Team Challenge: 11:30am–12:15pm
Players will divided into small teams. Each team builds a small maze or trail filled with traps, tricks, and surprises. Then teams test each other’s trap mazes!
Trap Tour & Testing Time: 12:15–12:45pm
Players will be asked to walk through and test each other’s traps (with adult staff making sure things stay fun and fair — no “griefing”). Everyone tries not to fall for the traps!
Awards & Day Recap: 12:45–1:00pm
We will celebrate with awards like “Most Sneaky Trap,” “Best Redstone Trick,” and “Funniest Trap Fail.”
Then a recap of both days and all players will be given certificates.
Cost includes staffing and resources such as certificates. Luke and Ruaridh will be supported by DBS checked staff and the building will be closed to the public during the holiday club sessions!
Click on the link to secure your place today as the club has very limited availability!
Discounted rate if booked for 2 days
